Palmaz Scientific Inc., a Dallas-based medical device maker, is getting a $3 million investment from the state of Texas to enable the company to secure approval of its Sesame stent in the European market and to allow the company to expand its operations and create manufacturing jobs in San Antonio (click here).

The company was created by Dr. Julio Palmaz, a former University of Texas Health Science Center professor best known as the inventor of a revolutionary cardiovascular stent.

Kohl’s to Add a Thousand Customer Service Jobs in San Antonio

Wisconsin-based Kohl’s has announced they signed a ten-year lease to build an operations center, a project that will end in the creation of thousands of customer service jobs in San Antonio (click here).

The Kohl’s department store chain will add 1,000 employees in San Antonio.

The chain signed a 10-year lease for an operations center, enticed by $750,000 in incentives from the Texas Enterprise Fund and a tax abatement.
