Company actively recruiting for customer service jobs in San Antonio

VMC, a technology consulting and outsourcing company, said today it is looking to fill dozens of customer service jobs in San Antonio.

VMC wants to fill 40 new jobs this week, before the start of the Labor Day weekend, on the south side of San Antonio at their Customer Care and Technical Support Center at Brooks City-Base. JPMorgan plans to expand and create finance jobs in San Antonio

Banking giant JPMorgan said recently it is planning a big expansion and Texas and will hire for several hundred finance jobs in San Antonio.

The bank will open 3 branches and hire 475 employees.

KCI sold, could affect manufacturing jobs in San Antonio

KCI, maker of wound care products, has been purchased in a multi-billion dollar deal that could ultimately lead to cuts affecting manufacturing jobs in San Antonio.

In a news release, Kinetic Concepts, Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive merger agreement under which a consortium comprised of funds advised by Apax Partners, together with controlled affiliates of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board, will acquire KCI for $68.50 per share in cash in a transaction valued at $6.3 billion (including KCI’s outstanding debt).
