Allstate Recruiting for Sales Jobs in San Antonio

Monday, November 29th, 2010

Allstate is spreading the word that they are in need of producers for sales jobs in San Antonio.

Allstate agency owners in Texas are working with Kelly Services to hire at least 155 licensed sales producers by the end of this year.

Licensed sales producers play a pivotal role in driving business for Allstate agencies in a growing state like Texas. That’s why around 150 Allstate agency owners in the state have started working with Kelly Services to help them find qualified candidates.

Interested candidates should have exceptional selling skills, a high school diploma and the ability to obtain or begin the process of obtaining a Property and Casualty license at the time of hiring. Recent data from the Labor Department shows high school graduates have been the hardest hit by the downturn in the economy, a reason why these jobs are so favorable.

“These positions present such a great opportunity for talented people with strong communication and customer service skills, who may not have a college degree,” said Gary Halls, Director of Operations, Office of Allstate for Kelly Services. “We encourage interested candidates to not let the licensing process scare them off. We emphasize it’s a valuable commitment to make to get a head start in a recession-proof industry.”

To find candidates, Kelly Services has been working with the Texas Workforce Commission and several other channels. Once qualified applicants go through the prescreening process, Kelly Services places their information in a database that Texas Allstate agency owners can access to arrange interviews.

“Kelly Services developed this innovative talent management solution to screen candidates and help Allstate agency owners hire top-notch sales producers,” said Jay Gutierrez, a San Antonio area Allstate agent, who has hired two licensed sales producers through the partnership.

To date, 20 licensed sales producers have been hired across Texas.
